Earth Overshoot Day

Today’s Earth Overshoot Day is a reminder that from tomorrow, humanity consumes what the planet cannot regenerate this year.
Nobody intends to overspend a planet. It happens because millions of decisions are made independently, with nobody holding the overall budget.

We observe the same pattern emerging in enterprise AI:
Only 12% measure the environmental footprint of their GenAI.
Only 20% weigh that footprint when selecting or building a model.
74% say their providers do not give them the transparency to measure it.
So, the impact is not unknown. It is unowned. It is set early, in architecture decisions, and surfaces later in a bill nobody can decompose.

We had the privilege to contribute to the second edition of the Sustainable IT Playbook for Technology Leaders, with a chapter on ‘The eco-digital era: why AI must go green’, addressing those patterns directly.

Thank you to the authors, Richard R. Pastore and Niklas Sundberg,
and to my Capgemini colleagues Fabian Schnippering, Felix Caspari, Henning Klasmeier and Fabian Brack.

Make AI Impact Real: Scaling Agentic AI for Autonomous IT

https://www.brighttalk.com/webcast/20467/671054

Presented by

Günther Reimann VP – Executive Advisory, IT Strategy, Digital Acceleration, ServiceNow Partnership | Julia Martensen, Innovation Officer, ServiceNow

About this talk

Making AI impact real at enterprise scale requires more than powerful models – it demands the right balance of technology, business alignment, and human adoption. In this session, Capgemini demonstrates how organizations can industrialize agentic AI through a structured, scalable approach built on its AI Factory and AI Resonance Framework.

Drawing on real-world ServiceNow use cases, the session explores the evolution from traditional IT automation to Autonomous IT, where AI agents move beyond recommendations to execute workflows and services end-to-end. This shift enables organizations to operate with greater speed, accuracy, and resilience, while unlocking measurable business value.

At the core of this transformation is the AI Resonance Framework, comprising three interconnected dimensions that must be addressed together:

• Access – establishing the technical foundation through high-quality data, AI platforms, and secure infrastructure
• Adapt – aligning AI initiatives with business priorities through governance, operating models, and value-driven decision-making
• Adopt – enabling human–AI collaboration by building trust, usability, and sustained behavioral change

The session further highlights how these dimensions come to life on the ServiceNow platform through an integrated AI Operating Model and AI Control Tower. Together, they provide centralized orchestration, governance, and performance tracking – ensuring agentic systems remain compliant, transparent, and continuously optimized, with the appropriate human-in-the-loop controls.

Key takeaway: AI delivers sustained enterprise impact only when technical foundations, business alignment, and human adoption are advanced in parallel. By applying the AI Resonance Framework, organizations can scale agentic AI responsibly and transform Autonomous IT into a secure, governed, and value-driven capability.

Make AI impact real: Scaling agentic AI for Autonomous IT

I’m happy to share that I’ll be speaking at the Autonomous IT – K26 Studio on „Make AI impact real: Scaling agentic AI for Autonomous IT“ at ServiceNow Knowledge 2026.

In this session, I will show how organizations can make AI impact real by industrializing Agentic AI through a structured approach based on Capgemini’s AI Resonance Framework: Adopt, Adapt, and Access.

Building on real ServiceNow use cases, the session explains how Agentic AI enables the shift from traditional IT automation to Autonomous IT, where AI agents move beyond recommendations and execute services end‑to‑end.

This is what human-AI experience really looks like.

Digital Transformation (3/3) – #PervasiveTech: Unleashing business value in every corner

Software‑based revenues are expected to quadruple by 2030, reaching 29% of total company revenue, up from just 7% in 2022.

This reinforces the idea that technology has moved from being a support function. It’s now the engine of growth, innovation, and competitive advantage, and is pervasive across people, operations, and strategy.

In our latest blog, we explore how pervasive tech is reshaping the enterprise landscape and what leaders must do to stay ahead.

The blog looks at the three pillars driving impact:
– Igniting the power of people
– Cloud as a business enabler
– Frugal IT architecture

Digitale Transformation (2/3) – #Softwarization: How to turn technology into business value

How can organizations harness the potential of #Softwarization while navigating the challenges it brings?

The answer lies in reframing software from a supporting function to a core driver of enterprise value. In my latest perspective, I explore three critical dimensions:
– Augmented Software House – building resilient, high-performing teams that scale innovation
– Trust as a Business Promise – why trust is no longer optional, but a strategic differentiator
– A Performant Operating Model – practical steps to translate technology into measurable outcomes

Software is now center stage: shaping strategy, enabling agility, and redefining competitive advantage.

Digital Transformation (1/3) – #Techceleration: How to lead at the speed of change

Today’s world is shaped by the accelerating progress of technologies such as 5G, GenAI, AgenticAI, and Quantum Computing. I refer to this as #Techceleration.

For CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, and other technology-oriented leaders this means a changed imperative: anticipate disruption, architect adaptive strategies, and turn rapid tech evolution into business value. Key priorities:

– Innovation: Establish Strategic Technology Watch to systematically observe and act emerging trends

– Efficiency: Scale AI and on-demand solutions to accerlerate transformation and efficiency Transformation – Accelerate Integration and Scaling:
Develop a strategy and implementation plan that covers organization, talent, partners/ecosystem, technology integration, data management, and security aspects

– Transformation: Make IT a true business partner, driving innovation and measurable outcomes

A world in balance 2025

Our Capgemini Research Institute has just released the fourth edition of its landmark sustainability series — „A world in balance 2025“.

This year’s report makes one thing clear: sustainability is no longer just a compliance checkbox. It’s a strategic imperative driving resilience, long-term value, and competitive advantage.

The research explores how organizations are responding to:
– Escalating climate risks
– Shifting consumer expectations
– Geopolitical pressures

Let’s move beyond awareness and into action. The time to embed sustainability into every decision is now.

From softwarization to pervasive tech

The pace of technological change is opening up exciting new possibilities, which I call #Techceleration. But in a constantly shifting landscape, many organizations are still figuring out how to harness these opportunities effectively.

To help make sense of this transformation, we’re launching a new blog series on #Techceleration: the rapid, purpose-driven evolution of organizations through technology.

I’m excited to share the first post in the series: „From softwarization to pervasive tech – Aligning IT with business innovation“ with nine + one priorities for tech leaders: https://www.capgemini.com/insights/expert-perspectives/from-softwarization-to-pervasive-tech/

This isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about making intentional, strategic choices that align technology with business value.

Over the coming months, we’ll dive deeper into themes like #Softwarization, #PervasiveTech, and the broader impact of #Techceleration.

I’d love to hear your thoughts as the series unfolds: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/gwreimann_from-softwarization-to-pervasive-tech-activity-7335240718367539201-auyL
